Csp single phase pole mounted transformer is a completely self-protected distribution unit combining transformer, primary protection and secondary overcurrent control within a compact pole-top enclosure. integrated high-voltage fuse link, surge arrester and low-voltage breaker coordinate with the core-and-coil design to limit faults and overloads. factory-assembled accessories, grounding provisions and bushings reduce external wiring, simplify installation and help utilities standardize hardware, while the sealed tank and corrosion-resistant finish support long, low-maintenance service life and stable voltage performance under varying feeder conditions.
CSP single phase pole mounted transformers are applied on overhead distribution networks supplying dispersed residential, agricultural, and light commercial loads where compact, self-protected equipment simplifies line design. Integrated interruption and surge protection allow engineers to minimize upstream protective devices, improve coordination, and reduce nuisance outages. These units are suitable for rural extensions, service to remote pumps, telecom sites, and roadside assets, helping customers lower construction cost, shorten installation time, standardize fleet maintenance practices, and streamline overall spare equipment management tasks.

| Low Voltage Circuit Breaker | Yes | Yes | NO | No |
| High Voltage Surge Arrester | Yes | NO | Yes | No |
| High Voltage Protective Link | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
Conventional “S” Transformers
This type transformer contains no protection equipment.therefore, lightning, fault and overload protection for these transformers must be provided by purchaserinstalled, auxiliary protective devices.
Conventional “S” with Protective Link
The protective link is the least expensive device mounted in the transformer to protect the system from a defective transformer.whenever there is an internal failure theresulting fault current will cause the protective link to blow, isolating the transformer from the primary feeder.
Surge-protecting “SP” Transformers
“SP” transformers have transformer-mounted lightning arresters and internal high-voltage protective links, but no internal low-voltage breaker. they are used where lightning is a concern. the protective link only clears faults from internal transformer failure, so any required overload protection must be provided by external fuses.
Current-protecting “CP” Transformers
“CP” transformers have an internal low-voltage circuit breaker and high-voltage protective links, but no built-in lightning arresters. they are applied where lightning exposure is low, with optional crossarm-mounted arresters if surge protection is needed. the breaker and link are coordinated so secondary faults trip the breaker first, removing load and helping protect the core and coils from damage.
